Clouds of pigeons in the heart of Perthshire.

In the Scottish skies their appearance leaves you speechless: clouds of wood pigeons that descend in vortex on the rapeseed fields and on the sown. This is the right time to pick up your shotgun.

Spring hunting takes place on freshly cultivated land with barley, wheat, rapeseed and peas. Instead, the summer hunt takes place at the time of threshing and it is organized with decoys and calls  around the hides.

The habitat is perfect and favors a great proliferation and nesting of the wood pigeon which is obviously considered as harmful by farmers.

The wood pigeon hunt in Scotland, organized by Montefeltro, is considered by lovers of this species as a unique experience to live.

Choose now to hunt wood pigeons in spring or in summer and enjoy the best of Scotland’s flavor.

Recommended weapon

For the wood pigeons hunting, given the high number of shots we would suggest a semi-automatic shotgun with 66 or 71 barrels length and interchangeable chokes to be evaluated at the moment of hunting based on the distance from the wild pass.
