The Valle di Fiordimonte hunting estate, with over 4,000 hectares extension, is the largest hunting estate in Italy.

It is located in the heart of the central Apennines on the border between Marche and Umbria. Its territorial vocation is particularly suitable for ungulates hunting especially wild boars (even with a bow) and for Up land hunting. In the winter time, the estate is perfect for woodcock’s hunting; the woodcock finds indeed its ideal habitat among junipers and deciduous forests.

Woods, crops, bushes, grasslands, Fiordimonte is the hunting paradise suggested by Montefeltro.

The estate is located between Macerata hills and the Apennines of the Marche region, and borders of the Monti Sibillini National Park. The “Valle di Fiordimonte” hunting farm has always been a real challenge for dogs lovers hunters.

This is the location where hunters can test their skills and the one of their hunting dogs: an extremely diverse territory ranging from 500 to 1,500 meters above sea level.

The fame of Valle di Fiordimonte stems from the historical propensity of its territory to practice hunting with pointing dogs. The immense grasslands at high altitudes are an amazing training where the dog deal with partridges, quails and rock partridges. At lower altitudes, the agricultural areas and the woods host pheasants who are also threatened with profit by hunting dogs .

In the Faunistic Hunting part of the estate, even woodcock’s lovers hunters can obtain excellent satisfactions.

Dog lovers who are passionate about dogs training, have bushy grasslands available at high altitudes to test their auxiliaries WITHOUT A SHOT. In Valle di Fiordimonte it is possible to practice hunting and dogs training all year round.

The hunting reserve boasts more than 3,000 hectares of magnificent territory divided into 25 hunting areas.

Recommended weapon

For the up land hunting with your dog, it is advisable to use a 12 and 20 gauge shotgun, with barrels length ranging from 61 to 65 cm with cylindrical 4 stars chokes. For woodcock hunting, we suggest 61 cm barrels length with 4 stars or cylindrical chokes.

Indelible memories will surely remain in the memory of the Scottish countryside populated by grazing animals and by so many Colombacci. The first day of hunting was very exciting. The memory of the first Colombaccio coming on the "game" is still alive in my mind.
