Beneath the Kalahari Skies: African Safari adventure in Botswana’s wildlife
A reserve covering 60,000 hectares in the north-west of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, with which it borders for 48 km. It is located about 150 km from the city of Maun and half an hour by plane from the famous Okavango Delta, a region unique in the world where incredible specimens of elephants, hippos and buffaloes, as well as an incomparable ornithological fauna, coexist.
The Kalahari is considered a desert, characterized by endless expanses of red sand, bush, savanna, salt deserts and lacking river and lake water, although there is frequent rainfall that provides grazing to feed a large population of herbivores and maintain a dream vegetation.
Botswana is one of the African hunting destinations that Montefeltro offers to do plains game. Plains game implies antelope hunting such as oryx, kudu, wildebeest, impala and springbok, as well as eland and waterbuck. The reserve is also home to warthogs, ostriches, jackals and more. A truly game-rich area, allowing you to observe fascinated all these animals in their habitat. Many other species, although not huntable, can be spotted in the reserve. In particular, there is a large number of elephants, but you can also encounter felines: lions and cheetahs!
